U.S. Navy Releases Video It Says Shows Aircraft Taking Off for Iraq

The U.S. Navy released video on Sunday (August 23) showing sailors directing aircraft during flight deck operations aboard the aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush on Saturday (August 22) and Sunday. The Obama administration earlier this month launched an air strike campaign to protect U.S. personnel from the Islamic State and to ensure northern Iraq's minority Yazidis were not subject to systematic violence at the hands of the militants.
